Sciots tract is one of the most popular Forest Service cabin tracts in the area. It has a year round water system and amazing access into Eldorado National Forest. This cabin has been loved by the same family for over 60 years. You can feel the love and the history as you walk in. The large deck off the living room is a great place to spend the evenings after you get back from your hike/bike/climb/fishing trip. The American River, as seen in these pictures, runs through the tract, and local points of interest are Lovers Leap, Desolation Wilderness, Strawberry, Phantom Spires and both the American river and the Silverfork river. There is a club house and playground. The community has events you can join such as ice cream socials, pot lucks and games. If you want to have a night on the town, South Lake Tahoe is only 15 miles away. Pictures of the river are not from the cabin. The sqft is only the footprint. Estimated sqft would be 900 sqft.
