When the current owner of 5 Brant Drive bought the house in 2018 for $274,900, the home inspector reported that there were some major repairs and replacements that would have to be done. In particular, he indicated that the roof was badly worn and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. So, right after the closing, the new owner saw to it that the roof, the furnace, and the air conditioner were replaced. And after that, the owner replaced the washer and dryer, and the storm and screen doors. Then all the airducts were cleaned.
When all the repairs were done and the entire home was cleaned, the owner began to make the interior more attractive and comfortable. The entire interior of the home was painted, and new floors were put in the living room/dining room. A new shower was put in the bathroom in the master bedroom; new curtains and shades were put on the windows, and improvements were made to the patio at the back of the house. All the rooms were made even more attractive by the new furniture that was purchased.
The owner has very much enjoyed living in Princeton Commons, and never expected having to move again. However, unexpectant circumstances changed everything, and the owner now needs the services that are provided by senior homes. The unit that the owner will live in at the senior home is much smaller than the 5 Brant Drive home. Some, but not all, of the owner's furniture will fit in the new home.
