Area Attractions
Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park
This unique and fascinating park was Montana's first state park and features one of the largest known limestone caverns in the Northwest. The spectacular caves are lined with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and helictites.
The Ringing Rocks
The famous Ringing Rocks offer an unforgettable memory best described as a jumbled pile of boulders that when tapped with a hammer or wrench ring melodically. Although there is currently not a scientific explanation available, it is thought the chiming is caused by the combination of rock and the way the patterns have formed as the rocks have eroded away. Mysteriously, if you remove a rock from the pile, it no longer rings!
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park is 125 miles for an easy day trip where you can catch a glimpse of the rarely seen grizzly and wolf at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. Visit geysers and the historic Old Faithful for sights that you will never forget. Get a taste of the wild, see where the wildlife roam, and enjoy all the amenities of a national park!
Blue-Ribbon Fishing
Jefferson River
The Jefferson River begins near Twin Bridges, Montana and then meanders more than 80 miles until it dumps into the Missouri River at the Missouri River Headwaters State Park in Three Forks. There are three sections to this river: the upper, middle, and lower section. The upper section has brushy lined riverbanks that flows for 50 miles though the valley. The middle section has more steep canyon formations with good access. The river here is deep and slow. The lower section has many branches and braids with cottonwood trees that line the bank. The Jefferson River is predominantly a brown trout river, but the rainbows are making a comeback. The Jefferson doesn't pose a high pressure for fishing, so it is mostly quiet and peaceful. The best fly fishing is found in the upper section of the river. A boat is best for fishing this river so that you can get to the deep spots. It also makes a great floating river. There are 11 Fishing Access Sites.

Considered to be one of the prettiest and most popular rivers in Montana, the Madison River provides scenic floats, gorgeous canyons, and breathtaking views. Even if the fish are not biting, the land surrounding the river makes any day worth it.
