About This Home

As of March 2022

Remarks: It's almost as lucky as witnessing a shooting star flash across the blackened night sky or finding the end of a rainbow encircled with four leaf clovers. This unique and versatile property offers blissful opportunities for business or pleasure! Amid majestic mountain ranges in Southwest Montana, RiverRest Cabins consist of three newly constructed cabins featuring their own kitchen, dining, bathroom, bedrooms, and parking. The accommodating cabins are situated on one acre in a scenic valley with the Tobacco Root Mountains painted as a backdrop. Wander 400 yards down your direct and private access route to the Jefferson River for fishing, floating, or playing in the water. Radon: Well Log Available On the outskirts of the charming community of Silver Star, Montana, the three cabins have been meticulously engineered with timeless finishes. For example, all three cabins have 8" exterior walls utilizing metal studs so that interior walls are perfectly straight. Each cabin has a 5 foot crawl space underneath. The cabins are well insulated to keep the Montana winters outside. Two of the cabins have been used as vacation rentals while the larger cabin was an owner's living quarters. Turn-key and fully furnished, you can begin renting out the cabins without delay. The high ceilings mimic the high mountain peaks and give guests a spacious feel. Visitors eagerly book the rentals, especially after reading the 130 5-star reviews, to experience the tranquility and breathtaking landscape of Montana. They can relax on the porch and watch the sunlight dance off the Jefferson River. One visit is simply not enough. Wifi and cellular voice/data service top the list of quality amenities. Commercial air service, shopping, entertainment, and restaurants are an easy hour's drive from the property to either Butte or Bozeman, Montana. Feed the adventurer's spirit with the numerous recreational opportunities stockpiled in the valley. Fish the five blue-ribbon trout streams in proximity. The established business can take off should you choose to take advantage of the exceptional business venture. Records show consistent bookings year-round for either short term or long-term stays. Run a business where you can also breathe in the fresh mountain air, watch the eagle soar high above the valley floor, and greet the resident moose gazing peacefully. It may beg the question as to whether you use this property as your own private retreat with a guest cabin option or dive into a lucrative business opportunity with as many business facets as your mind can imagine!

Local Area

The historical town of Silver Star is found between Whitehall and Twin Bridges, Montana along Highway 41. Silver Star Is the third oldest town in Montana. As the only town between Helena and Virginia City, Silver Star was a supply point for silver miners. It was indeed named after a famous prosperous mine. This area in Madison County offers recreation in many forms. The Jefferson River flows here and is a quiet place to fish. In the background, take in the scenic views of the Tobacco Root Mountains. Hike, camp, hunt, fish, and view wildlife.

Area Attractions

Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park

This unique and fascinating park was Montana's first state park and features one of the largest known limestone caverns in the Northwest. The spectacular caves are lined with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and helictites.

The Ringing Rocks

The famous Ringing Rocks offer an unforgettable memory best described as a jumbled pile of boulders that when tapped with a hammer or wrench ring melodically. Although there is currently not a scientific explanation available, it is thought the chiming is caused by the combination of rock and the way the patterns have formed as the rocks have eroded away. Mysteriously, if you remove a rock from the pile, it no longer rings!

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is 125 miles for an easy day trip where you can catch a glimpse of the rarely seen grizzly and wolf at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. Visit geysers and the historic Old Faithful for sights that you will never forget. Get a taste of the wild, see where the wildlife roam, and enjoy all the amenities of a national park!

Blue-Ribbon Fishing

Jefferson River

The Jefferson River begins near Twin Bridges, Montana and then meanders more than 80 miles until it dumps into the Missouri River at the Missouri River Headwaters State Park in Three Forks. There are three sections to this river: the upper, middle, and lower section. The upper section has brushy lined riverbanks that flows for 50 miles though the valley. The middle section has more steep canyon formations with good access. The river here is deep and slow. The lower section has many branches and braids with cottonwood trees that line the bank. The Jefferson River is predominantly a brown trout river, but the rainbows are making a comeback. The Jefferson doesn't pose a high pressure for fishing, so it is mostly quiet and peaceful. The best fly fishing is found in the upper section of the river. A boat is best for fishing this river so that you can get to the deep spots. It also makes a great floating river. There are 11 Fishing Access Sites.

Madison River

Considered to be one of the prettiest and most popular rivers in Montana, the Madison River provides scenic floats, gorgeous canyons, and breathtaking views. Even if the fish are not biting, the land surrounding the river makes any day worth it. The Madison begins in Yellowstone National Park and flows for more than 140 miles before reaching the Missouri River near Three Forks, Montana. The mighty Madison River ranks as one of the top rivers for trout fishing and contains high numbers of quality sized brown and rainbow trout. Whether you are dry fly, nymph, or streamer fishermen, there is enough for all to enjoy success on these waters.

Big Hole River

Experience incredible fly fishing on the rivers in Southwest Montana. The Big Hole River is known as the "Last Best River" with 3000 fish per mile! The river begins at Skinner Lake located in the Beaverhead Mountains and flows more than 150 miles where it joins the Ruby and Beaverhead River. The three rivers create the Jefferson River in Twin Bridges. This Blue-Ribbon Trout Stream flows free with fluvial Arctic Grayling, Cutthroats, Brook Trout, Mountain Whitefish, Brown Trout, and Rainbow Trout. There are 14 official access sites along the length of the Big Hole. All access sites have boat launches.

Beaverhead River

Sure, the Beaverhead River can look deceiving, often resembling nothing more than a small irrigation ditch. However, the beautiful Beaverhead River holds some of the largest trout in the state of Montana. The river begins in Clark Canyon Reservoir that is south of Dillon, Montana. It eventually meets up with the Big Hole River just outside of Twin Bridges. You can access the Beaverhead from 6 different access sites. The river is great for wade or boat fishing. Make sure to bring your camera. You'll want to get pictures of the magnificent fish that you reel in!

Big Game Trophy Hunting in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest

The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest claims the title as the largest of all the national forests in Montana. It spans over 3.32 million acres and lies in eight of Montana's counties. The forest provides timber, minerals, and grazing land as well as a habitat for wildlife. The area displays fantastic mountain ranges climbing toward the sky. These ranges include: the Anaconda, Bitterroot, Beaverhead, Flint Creek, Gravelly, Highland, Madison, Tobacco Root, and Sapphire Mountains. The snowpack of the mountains forms the Big Hole, Beaverhead, and Ruby rivers. These three rivers then join and flow as one in the Jefferson River. Bird watchers can find more than 260 species in the various habitats. The region provides winter range for bighorn sheep and m...
