Easily accessible hiking that connects off the easement, down to and around Frank and Summerville Lakes.

The area has abundant wildlife, including elk, white-tailed deer, mule deer, moose, ducks, geese, bear, and Cougar. The cabin overlooks the historic Frank Lake train trestle, which was completed in the late 1880s to transport timber across the lake to the Eureka Lumber Company.
