When I was a 2 year-old toddler, my parents bought this property – they even named it after me with a sign that said “HOLLY” cottage! Ever since then, this charming and quaint waterfront cottage and its soft, sandy beachfront has been my “Seaside Paradise” a beach “passport” for unforgettable experiences and discoveries each summer. Just imagine yourself awakening daily – as I have done - to a mesmerizing sunrise. I didn’t even have to get out of bed to see it! From the 2nd floor bedroom, as I opened my eyes -- just looked over my toes - and watched the sun’s yellow ombre rays rise higher and higher into the sky. Next just imagine having breakfast on the first floor porch looking directly towards the wide expanse of sky, sea and sand. It is a 180 degree view encompassing Milford Harbor, Gulf Beach, Long Island, Charles Island and its tombolo sand bar that connects this island to the Silver Sands State Park. All this - without having to step off the front porch deck! While this early morning light was best, I would return to the second floor porch deck to watch my creative mother start her artwork. You can see her paintings that still decorate the cottage walls today.
