This unique home is so charming townspeople took to calling it ''The Pretty House.'' Before that, it was widely known as ''The Castor House''. It was the childhood home of Annie Castor Glenn, wife of Marine Corps pilot, astronaut and U.S. Senator John H. Glenn Jr. The house was designed in the distinctive Spanish Bungalow style by Annie's father, Dr. Homer Castor, prominent local dentist who had an outstanding eye for architecture. Annie passed away at age 100 in May 2020. The love story of John and Annie Glenn, who met as children, is legendary. She was born in Columbus and the family moved to New Concord in 1923. This house was built in 1927 and the current residents are the fourth owners. They have meticulously and respectfully restored and renovated the home, which is breathtaking.
