Originally built in 1916 as the Shirley Hotel, this iconic building was celebrated as “Augusta’s first modern apartment building” and quickly became a beacon of resilience and innovation after a devastating fire in the area.
Designed by the acclaimed architect G. Lloyd Preacher, The Cobb House beautifully marries historic elegance with contemporary sophistication. After a thoughtful renovation in the 1980s, the building was renamed to honor its original principal investor, the legendary baseball player Ty Cobb, who made Augusta his home.
