FOOD & ENTERTAINMENT ... Enjoy a wonderful break from the city life as you feast at the California Pines Lodge overlooking the lake. The lodge restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven day a week. The cocktail lounge is open every day until the wee hours of the night, serving up some of the best drinks, local gossip, pool, ping-pong and big screen television for the sports events.


There's a couple other ponds up in the hill units as well (about 7 miles away) that are stocked with fish in the area as well as the main reservoir up by the lodge (about 1/2 mile away). The roads are maintained by the POA and are pretty nice for dirt roads. If you live there they will also plow the road to your residence. This one already has a few neighbors and is in the lower elevation Lake Unit so you will be just fine anyway! This is a great and quiet neighborhood. You do need permission to cut down a tree over 4 inches in diameter and the minimum building size is 1,000 sq. ft. You can bring in a mobile home but it has to be new.

The POA fees are $95 per year and cover quite a few things road maintenance, maintenance of the lodge (you get a discount) and stocking and maintaining the ponds. There is also an airport if you're a flyer!
