Selling a house, in Algiers, in 2024, was supposed to be a nightmare.
It was supposed to entail so much waiting, stress, and disappointment.
That is what we've been told.
That is what we were expecting, at best.
But, man were we wrong.
From the beginning, April made us feel so valued, so important, so relaxed and yet active in the process of selling our home that the process was so seamless, and we were always in communication with April through to the closing day of the sale.
Our house was on the market for less than 2 weeks.
She gave us impeccable advice as to what to do to make our house as beautiful, and eye catching as possible.
I am recommending April to everyone I know, it was such an enjoyable process.
We had tried selling our house before through another broker in the GNO.
And it was nowhere near as comfortable of a process.

Words cannot ever fully express how thankful I am for April!

She is gifted with the ability to communicate in such a calm manner, making anyone feel comfortable throughout the entire selling process. We first tried to sell our home ourselves, convinced we could handle anything since we both have a background in management and sales. When that didn’t work, I was hoping to find someone who didn’t embody that stereotypical “sales agent” personality. We met with and interviewed several agents and immediately April stood out to me because she never made me feel dumb for asking a lot of questions and making me feel like she was trying to rush out to meet with someone else.

When we needed reassurance in getting our home ready, she was available and never once made me feel like we were insufficient in what we had the time or means to accomplish. In a market where my neighbors’ homes are sitting for sale (and still are), she was a key ingredient in the recipe for a successful sale, with multiple offers in 10 days.

April and Keith Brown of Hospitality Realty helped us buy our dream home in as little time and worry as possible. SIX WEEKS !!

Our first experience with the team was a virtual introduction from a friend. We then had a Zoom meeting to accommodate my wife who was out of town. Our Agents were very welcoming, learned our needs and concerns about when we would want to close a house plus what we were looking for.

Once the listings started coming for review we chose places for me to view since I was local in New Orleans. Our Agents gave us advice on each place such as pros and cons of the neighborhood location, resale value and on the issues shown in the listing disclosures.

The best part about choosing the house was that we were just about to submit an offer on a different place. At the last second we asked to expand our search and they couldn’t have been more accommodating at that time. Less than 24 hours after that last change, we had an accepted offer on our home.

Let’s talk about the last part, my main concern was time. I was relocating for work and my need was to close fast and line up my personal schedule. We closed about three weeks after placing the offer. April recommended a local company, Modern Title and the entire process went great.

My husband and I found April Brown with Hospitality by referral, and thank God we did! April helped us in selling our home quickly and efficiently. She was very reliable and trustworthy at communicating with us about ways to get our home sold. She set up an open house, and within a week of being on the market, it was sold. When it was time to purchase our next home, of course we knew we needed April and her team. Buying our next home wasn't quite as quick as selling, but April and Debbie Weber were so diligent, patient, and hard working at helping us find the perfect home for our family. Even in the crazy market for buyers, we were able to find ways to afford the we needed. One of those ways was through Hospitality realty's low commission rate - it cannot be beaten! They saved us so much money, helped us in a never ending search of finding the right house for us (As April says, "We'll turn 1,000s keys until we find you the right home"), and was always accessible. Last year I had the opportunity to work with April Brown of Hospitality Realty. I am a General Contractor and Real Estate investor for now over 20 years. Throughout that time I have used many different agents to buy and sell properties. What qualifies a good agent in my opinion is one who is responsive to my calls and texts, who follows up after a conversation and most importantly sees the goal in sight to sell my house and will do what is necessary to close the deal. Leave it to April Brown to work her magic and getting you a fast sale at the price you want. She is quite simply the best listing agent we’ve ever had and she’s just as good of a buyer’s agent, bar none. When you see her photo she looks very glamorous and I wasn’t sure at first, but make no mistake, she is one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever known and so genuine. I later read her impressive multiple 5 star reviews and I was sold. She is the best at her game and even though she had multiple listings and buyers when we were selling, she never kept us waiting and was true to her word on every front. She was always in communication. She devotes herself to selling your house for what you want and when you want and does it! She is with you every step of the way from the start to the end of closing. We had to sell our house the exact weekend of the height of New Orleans being the epicenter of the pandemic. We were terrified but had to go on with it. April fearlessly enforced safe, strict guidelines for buyers to wear masks that we provided and gloves. They were not to touch anything and she had no more than two buyers at a time In our house as requested by us for viewing. She carried this out so graciously yet firm. The viewers appreciated it too. She is present at all showings and always comes well dressed and has an elegance that makes your house appear more valuable. She also works to get you your desired times to show as well. Just when it’s convenient for you but you won’t be showing for long, she is fast! April was never self serving and we know all the realtor tricks. That’s not April. She just wanted to get us the price we felt we should get. She’s a hard negotiator and it’s all done with a silk glove. She sold our house within a few hours for full asking price the very first day of showing! You will not regret going with April! She’s quite simply amazing!

I'd recommend April Gongora Brown to anybody selling their home in the New Orleans area. I listed my home in the Marigny Triangle with April at the beginning of the COVID19 Pandemic and I still don't think it would have been possible to have a better experience selling a home, even under normal conditions. April got the house on the market quickly, advised me to raise the asking price, and still managed to drum up a bidding war. We had multiple offers and the house was under contract within days.

I was nervous about selling my home remotely and during a pandemic, but April was knowledgeable, confident and communicative, putting me at ease from putting the house on the market all the way through closing.
