Hello, welcome! I Have been a full-time REALTOR(R) in Bloomington, IN, since 1995. I generally work in a four-county area -- Monroe, Brown, Greene and Lawrence counties, but I've worked in LaPorte, Hamilton, and Johnson counties, too. I can work anywhere in Indiana.
Before being a Realtor(R), I graduated from Indiana University in 1986, after which I went active duty as a US Army officer for 9.5 years. While I found the army challenging, I learned a lot about self-discipline, planning, focusing on task, and getting things done the right way the first time. Those are universal skills that translate well to the real estate world. When it comes to your realty interests, I am focused on making sure you understand the process so you can be comfortable that you are making informed decisions. The worst question is the one that is not asked. I can attend lender appointments with you. I will make sure you understand how inspections fit into the home-sale process. I will coordinate with the closing company to make sure there are no hiccups along the way and we close as scheduled. When it's all done, I want you to be able to say, "That process wasn't as bad as I expected!" I must be doing it right, because I've had at least a half dozen buyers over the years end up getting their Realtor(R) license!
You can be comfortable that, for me, your interests and needs come first. We both know this is my profession and I get paid at closing, but I will not let my self-interest have priority over your realty needs. I'd rather not close than take advantage of you just to make a dollar. My worth as a Realtor(R) comes from you knowing I put my knowledge and professionalism at your disposal. I want you to be happy with the process so that it's second nature to refer your colleagues and friends to me with their realty needs.
