About Abby

Abby Walters, born and raised in Strasburg, discovered her passion for real estate early in her career. She earned her Virginia Real Estate license at age 24 and has been helping clients buy and sell homes across the Shenandoah Valley ever since.

A consistent top producer, Abby has earned numerous accolades throughout her career—including Northern Virginia Daily’s “Best REALTOR® in Shenandoah County” for 2014–2017, 2019–2022, and now again in 2025. She was also named 2018 Massanutten Association of REALTORS® Salesperson of the Year and proudly holds the #1 sales position in Shenandoah County.

In 2017, Abby began building her team—bringing on her husband, Jamie, as a licensed REALTOR®, and expanding in 2019 with a Transaction Coordinator and a Showing Agent. Her dedication and leadership allowed her business to thrive, even during the uncertainty of 2020.

In 2021, Abby launched her own brokerage—Preslee Real Estate—named after her and Jamie’s middle names, Preston and Lee. The company has since become known for delivering outstanding customer service and being deeply rooted in community values.

Abby was recognized as Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and Massanutten Association of REALTORS® Broker of the Year in 2022. Finding the right agent is key to navigating the house buying/selling process. I met with 7 agents before choosing to work with Abby. She not only came highly recommended by people in the Shenandoah Valley but also through one of the top realtors in Washington DC. Since I was selling a home that would appeal to people from DC as well as the local area, I really wanted to work with someone who could penetrate the largest market possible. That is Abby.

I was selling a multifunctional property — one that could be purely residential, a revenue generating property or a combination of both, which is how I lived and used the property during the 6.5 years I owned it. As soon as Abby showed up to meet me and see the house, she had a clear sense of who my potential buyers would be and how to garner their attention. I trusted her as soon as I met her because she was willing to be ambitious in pricing and marketing.

Abby delivered a beautiful marketing portfolio for the property, reached out to agents locally and nationally and as a result, I received multiple competitive offers within 5 days of going on the market from the Shenandoah Valley, Washington DC and investors from California.

I found the hardest part of selling my home started as soon as I accepted an offer. From inspections and re/negotiations, Abby remained unflappable and knew which experts to contact in order to move the sale along as smoothly as possible without compromising on the price. She was readily available for strategy conversations and added good guidance at times when I was uncertain about the next best step while supporting me in making tough decisions when it really was time for pencils down in the negotiation room.

My home sale closed within 5 weeks of being placed on on the market. Abby’s ability to deliver an offer at the agreed upon asking price exceeded my expectations given current high interest rates.

Abby was also sensitive to my being a particularly emotional buyer (my words not hers!) and her calm demeanor really was assuring to me. Throughout daily back and forth emails, texts and calls, I felt exceptionally well supported and confident that Abby would get us to the finish line, which she did.

Also worth sharing is that Abby has a strong and dynamic team. I believe everyone who the brokerage represents, buyers and sellers, benefit from the environment of collegiality and shared success that Abby has created for and with her team.
