About Abel

Abel Brea spent the first few years of his career on Wall Street, which taught him an important lesson, creating a sustainable business must be built on having a fiduciary responsibility to one’s clients. This is a lesson that he carried with him when he established the 1800FIX.com technology repair store in the Bronx in the 1980s along with his brothers, who also became his business partners. At the time, they focused on repairing personal pagers/beepers, but as technology evolved, they pivoted, quickly transitioning to a business that specializes in trade-ins as well as the repair and recycling of cell phones, laptops, game consoles, and computers. Furthermore, selling cell phone plans helped their business grow, allowing them to eventually open additional stores in the Bronx and Westchester. As a Bronx native and current Westchester resident who has conducted business in both areas for many years, he realized the importance of finding comfort and satisfaction in one’s neighborhood. This kind of insider knowledge and based on his years of experience working with Bronx-based businesses and residents helped him transition into the Real Estate/Mortgage Brokerage Industry. When he thinks back on his early years in business with his brothers, he realizes now that there were certain that helped them succeed. Those traits included the ability to be innovative well before the evolution of the cell phone, his steely determination to work harder than anyone else in his industry, the ability to negotiate deals that were advantageous to his growth, and the integrity that they maintained with their clients.
