Abby Nirenberg is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer based out of Austin, Texas. She has trained over ten years in modern, ballet, kick, pom, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary. In 2015, Abby served as first lieutenant of the McCallum Blue Brigade and placed third runner up with her self-choreographed solo at Crowd Pleasers’ Austin Showcase, igniting a newfound love for choreography and performance. She continued her dance studies at Austin Community College, under Roxanne Gage, and Texas State University under Michelle Nance, Christa Oliver, Ana Baer, and Kasey Seitz-Brown, where she graduated with a BFA in Dance in 2020. While at Texas State, Abby held the position of president in Inspired By Aliyah (IBA,) a student-led hip hop company that she founded with her peers. Abby has had the opportunity to perform choreography by Len Lopez at esteemed venues, like the Austin Moody Theater and the historic Sunset Station in San Antonio, through gigs with Artisan Oddities and Entertainment.
Abby teaches weekly classes at DivaDance Austin as well as birthday and bachelorette parties, where she finds joy in teaching both beginners and experienced dancers. She plans to take her career to Los Angeles to pursue dance professionally.
