About Alan
Miami native Alan Philipson has been serving clients for 30 years after receiving his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 1991. Building a reputation in the luxury housing sector for his knowledge, expertise, and commitment to his client's, Alan’s clientele has included professional athletes, entertainers and high-net worth individuals. Dedicated to protecting his client’s interest both legally and financially, Alan has built a reputation for propriety and fidelity to his clientele, one that has been reciprocated.
Alan grew up in a family of real estate professionals including his Grandfather, former Miami Beach Mayor Harold Turk (’49-51) who as a Miami Dade County Commissioner and Real-estate Attorney, negotiated the sale of Vizcaya from the Deering family to the county in 1952. His great Aunt Rose and Uncle Robert Schwartz developed the Delano Hotel which at the completion of its construction in 1947, stood as the tallest building eclipsing the Freedom Tower in Downtown Miami. His Uncle South Florida Real-estate Attorney Phil Coller’s family owned the Gale Hotel located directly across historic Collins Ave until its sale in 1967.
Having grown up in this environment gave Alan a unique perspective on the industry from a young age. After earning his real estate license in 1993, Alan began working with some of the top real estate firms, where he quickly established himself as a problem solver. Building upon lifelong relationships in the South Florida community, Alan became a connector from Attorneys and Accountants to subcontractors and tradesmen who could proactively address costly and dangerous construction issues significantly reducing his client’s stress and ensuring a smooth and timely closing.
During the housing collapse of 2008, Alan worked with Accountants, Attorneys, and other financial professionals to mitigate the loss and financial exposure of their client both large and small in the Real-estate backed asset class. Alan's dedication to his clients has earned him numerous awards and accolades, including recognition as a top producer and a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club.
In addition to his work as a real estate agent, Alan has a passion for health and fitness as well as engineering. Alan has applied this passion in the development of training equipment currently in use by United States fighter pilots on numerous bases to mitigate neck injury at high Gz in the cockpit and to ensure like his father USAF Cpt. Alvin Philipson that they get home safely to their family.
Alan is actively involved in his community. He volunteers his time and resources to a variety of local organizations and charities including Miami Jewish Federation, Cancer society as well as those that support education, housing, and animal welfare. An avid traveler, Alan enjoys exploring new destinations with his family and friends and exposure to a diverse culture.
