About Alan

At age 16, He became interested in real estate where my first home purchase in Cambria, California spring boarded my life-long career in real estate. During his first 3 years in Real Estate, he worked with Century 21 and earned top honors as the top listing and top selling agent in his community. My personal production surpassed all previous listing and sales records on the Central Coast, and Alan was recognized as being at a production level that only the top 1% of real estate agents nationwide had reached. He worked there until 1992, when he ventured out to open his first real estate brokerage, “Cambria Realty”.

In late 1995 he began reaching beyond the boundaries of the Central Coast, to list and sell properties in mountain and lake regions throughout Northern California. He developed a “Lot Flip” Investment Program which allowed him to sell over 1,000 lots in Northern California Lake Communities to my real estate investor clients, who subsequently resold most of these lots, at much higher prices.

In 2002 he opened two other successful real estate brokerages in Northern California- Manor Realty in Chester and Foxwood Realty, Inc. in Lake Almanor, California.

In 2007 his wife Cherie and Alan decided to move to Grass Valley, California. During the downturn in the economy in 2008, a friend and Alan joined forces to purchase home mortgages that were in default. They did “Workout Agreements”, allowing these homeowners to begin repayment plans to stay in their homes. The mortgages they focused on buying were ones they felt would otherwise be forced out of their homes through foreclosure, due to not being able to get their lenders to agree to a reasonable repayment plan. After getting each of these notes re-performing quickly, they were able to resale each mortgage at a favorable profit, allowing them to then purchase another non-performing mortgage. They felt good about helping homeowners keep their homes.

It was 2010 before he decided to open Sierra Heritage Realty in Grass Valley, CA. The focus of Sierra Heritage Realty has been to only list properties they like, to hire and work with quality people they enjoy, to always do what is right for their clients, and to focus on getting their listings sold quickly and at their full listed price (whenever possible). This culture has resonated with their agents and clients alike, allowing Sierra Heritage Realty to become the dominant Land Brokerage in Nevada County, CA within just two years. Sierra Heritage Realty now has over 20 Agents and Broker Associates, 3 Offices in Northern California, serving in Nevada County, Sierra, Yuba, Placer, Tehama, Siskiyou, Lassen and Plumas Counties.
