A graduate of the University of Economics and Law in Moscow, Russia, Alex Harnicholas holds his Bachelors in Business Law providing him strong analytical problem solving skills and the ability to diplomatically and effectively work with parties of conflicting interest.
At the age of 12, Alex began a dance career in Moscow, achieving exceptional results as a junior, amateur and professional competitor, becoming a Dance Championships winner throughout North America and Europe. Alex went on to own a studio, having had the abundance of extensive training and thorough knowledge of Latin American dancing and enthusiasm, to become a valued coach and choreographer.
Alex discovered Charlotte when Moscow YMCA and Charlotte YMCA were sister cities and he served as an Executive Director of Moscow YMCA. This opportunity allowed him to utilize his marketing and organizational skills to develop unique business opportunities for both locations which led to Alex moving to Charlotte and making the Queen City his home for the past 25 years.
Having lived for extended periods of time in various European capitals (London, Rome, Paris, Moscow) and having a passion for music, arts, architecture, history and antiques afforded Alex a streak of great opportunities to learn languages and cultures of those countries and the ability to adapt and relate easily with all kinds of people. These skills along with his fluency in English, Russian and French make Alex a unique asset to his real estate customers.
Alex’s self-motivated, problem-solving nature combined with his creativity allow him the ability to be thorough, while also thinking outside of the box. Alex is a licensed broker in NC and is a member in good standing of the National Association of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, the Charlotte Regional Realtors Association and Charlotte Multiple Listing Service.
