Alex Povich

As a sixth-generation native Washingtonian, Alex's deep roots in the D.C. area give him a unique perspective on what it's like to go to school, live, work, and play in and around the nation's capital. That perspective, developed from growing up in Kalorama Triangle and Chevy Chase, attending high school in Bethesda, and working in downtown DC, allows him to relate well to a wide variety of home buyers and sellers. There's nothing Alex enjoys more than sharing his passion for this vibrant and growing region with his clients, listening to their needs, and helping them find a perfect property.

Alex's interest in real estate began with an interest in architecture which he explored while a student at Tulane University in New Orleans. After receiving his B.A. degree, he returned to Washington to begin his career in real estate - landing him now with The Babbington Team and Compass.

Alex is enthusiastic about helping clients navigate the area's residential real estate scene. Always eager to learn, he welcomes the opportunity to connect with his hometown community and to give back to the area that has given him so much. In his free time, you can find Alex supporting our local sports teams (Go Cap!) or sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.
