Alex Richland

Alex Richland was born and raised in Falls Church, Virginia, right outside of Washington D.C. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Political Science and Spanish Studies, she wanted to take some time off before joining the “real world.” She came to spend a summer in Crested Butte… and never left. In her free time you can find her skiing in the winter, and hiking, camping, and fly fishing in the summer. The outdoor lifestyle was what drew her there initially, but what kept her there was the small-town feel and strong sense of community. She chose a career in real estate because she fell in love with this unique little mountain town, and she gets so excited when she meets people who are as enamored with Crested Butte as she is. Alex finds it extremely rewarding to be able to help others realize their dream of calling Crested Butte home.

She built her real estate business in Crested Butte around one guiding principle: it’s all about her clients. Alex cherish's the relationships she builds and always work relentlessly on her clients’ behalf to help them achieve their real estate goals. She's dedicated to providing exceptional, first-class customer service by practicing open, honest, and frequent communication. She understands that buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction; it’s a life-changing experience, and she is always thrilled to guide her clients through the process.

Some professional accomplishments that she's proud of include receiving the "Rookie of the Year" award from the Realtor Association at the beginning of her career. She was recently elected by her peers to serve her second three year term on the Board of Directors for the Gunnison-Crested Butte Association of Realtors. Alex is currently chairing an Affordable Housing task force to explore ways the real estate community can help with the affordable housing crisis. In 2020, she was one of 20 Realtors from around the state chosen to participate in the CAR Leadership Academy, a program for grooming future leaders in the real estate industry. She has also been certified by the National Association of Realtors as a Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist. She is especially proud to announce that she recently earned The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing’s Million Dollar GUILD™ recognition for experience, knowledge, and expertise in million-dollar and above residential properties. Despite these other accomplishments in just six years as a Realtor, what she is MOST proud of is that she consistently receives 5-star reviews from her clients.
