Al is a seasoned professional. His guidance on everything from recommended repairs prior to putting the home on the market to staging to negotiating the purchase of our home was spot on and concluded with a deal with which we were very pleased. As issues and offers came up during the time the house was on the market he was timely in his responses (calls and emails usually returned within a half hour) and offered sound advise. The marketing of the home was top-notch, as he identified prospects, ran several open house events and even prepared a bound, hard cover coffee table book of photographs of the house, inside and out, giving prospective buyers a great view of the house. I urge anyone looking for this kind of service to list their home with Al Vanacoro.

There are some factors that I care a lot about a realtor: 1. be loyal to my best interest; 2. be available and be responsive (i.e. be available to show me houses in time, touch base with me, talk to me when I need to talk about houses/questions); 3. be patient to all my questions; 4. be on top of things; 5. has network and be knowledgeable not only about houses itself, but also everything related to a house, i.e. construction, inspection, etc); 6. has a sense of humor. Al has all of these. After two failed house purchases with my previous realtor, Al was introduced to me. I was looking for houses in a specific area in NY and NJ, I haven't decided which town. Al showed me houses after I review and pick houses from the lists he routinely sent me. He knows the areas very well (i.e. transportation, community, security, school district, property tax, etc). He has perfect understanding of locations and valuation of houses, He also knows a lot about construction work, so when showing me houses, he also explain to me what I can do to improve the value of the house to the maximum with minimum efforts. He always kept my best interest in mind. He was very responsive all the time. With his great help, I bought the house that I love. It was a great and stress-free experience with Al. I would strongly recommend Al.

I was in the process of buying a house 2 years ago. By that time I was looking into both NY and NJ trying to find a friendly neighborhood that's close to work. Al was the realtor helped me in checking out properties in NY. During the whole process, Al has been very approachable and friendly. He managed his time well and had the availability to show us the house in time. He returned my calls in time and was very patient with my questions and concerns, and gave me lots of professional advises. He has a great sense of humor so checking out houses with him was a really fun process. He knows the areas as well as the value of the houses, which gave me a lot of confidence of the return I would expect from making the offers on the houses.

I cannot say enough good things about Al. Absolutely the best real estate experience I have ever had. I have bought and sold a good number of properties, but my experience with Al selling my home in Scarsdale was way beyond expectation. I will never use anyone else again. His level of knowledge, his engagement in the process, his ability to educate you, and his feel for the market place him heads and tails above all others. I trusted Al to price my home, and he correctly predicted we would get a bidding war. Man was he right. We had 18 offers in 48 hours. This is not a joke or a typo. 18 offers in 48 hours. Wound up with offers 10% above my asking price - all cash!! Some brokers would be overwhelmed with this level of activity - not Al! He just kept leveraging one offer against the next, until I was ready to pull the trigger. He knew how to get people to make offers, and knew exactly how to manage them when they came in. Don't make the mistake of using anyone else!
