Alice Kearney has been in the field for over 25 years, discovering her passion for art therapy while still in high school. After completing her undergraduate degree from Skidmore College, Alice continued her education at Lesley University, earning a Masters Degree in Art Therapy. While earning her masters, she worked at the Walker Home & School and South Shore Mental Health (SSMH). She was hired by SSMH full time upon completion of her degree. There she worked for various mental health programs and at their Quincy early intervention program. She decided to leave SSMH after ten years to focus more time on raising her 3 children. Working part time instead, she continued to practice Art Therapy and teach art classes at South Shore Conservatory and the Duxbury Art Association. In 2006, Alice began working for Plymouth Counseling Center, treating children, families and adults. Today she is thrilled to have her own private practice bringing her years of experience, education and expertise to her convenient location in the heart of downtown Plymouth.
