The idea to move from a place in southeast about 2300 miles away to Portland area was really overwhelming considering besides so many other things, buying a house with our very specific needs. But Alicia Selliken came to our rescue. She understood our needs and helped tremendously in house hunting process sorting out the available houses, eliminating the houses that did not fit our needs etc. She was extremely helpful and accommodating to show us around at any time we were ready without any hesitation. We visited so many houses together, discussed house styles, areas, culture, and did all this with laughter, enjoyment, and without any sign of tiredness or annoyance! Devi and I appreciate the amount of effort and time Alicia put in finding a suitable dream house for us. She stayed on top of the things during not only negotiation and closing process, but also during inspection and post closing process and even to acquire missing keys etc in our absence. We were so happy to have Alicia on our side during this overwhelming experience and making it a enjoyable experience. We did not even know Alicia before we started our house hunting but now it seems that we have such a great relationship that we feel that Alicia is our good friend for a very long time. Alicia Selliken is truly an outstanding realtor. We relocated out of the Portland, OR area and left the property completely in her care during our absence, including coordinating multiple contractors and service providers in getting our house ready for listing. She successfully managed through that busy period, ensuring that each party had complete access to the property as required. She regularly gave us reports of the status of each project underway, with the property being in excellent condition for sale at the time of listing.

As for her specific realty credentials, our home was 100 years old and part of a registered historical district. Alicia’s familiarity with the unique characteristics of such a property was evident. She carefully guided us through the details of the listing process, setting a fair price and she was responsive in her communications with all prospective buyers, including the party ultimately purchasing our home. In every instance, her attitude was focused and positive as if we were her only client.

We recommend Alicia Selliken as a realtor without any reservation, and we would absolutely use her services if such a need were to ever arise.

What more can I say about Alicia...She has handled buying and selling two homes in the last six years. One in the Pearl District and one in the suburbs. For each transaction, she developed a strategy and executed the plan to ensure a smooth buying and/or selling process. Along the way, she is always available to answer your questions as well as providing guidance on the procedures and next steps. During our last home sale, I was a bit of a nervous seller and Alicia reassured me every step of the way. Alicia has a command of the marketplace and does research to maximize profits when selling and selection/budget when buying. I would highly recommend Alicia and her staff to buy or sell your home.

Alicia came in to save me after what can only be considered a terrible launch of house hunting in the North / Northeast part of Portland. What I valued the most about my experience with Alicia was that as we saw more things and she got to know me better she took the time to really weed through the options and ensure I was making the best long term decision for me. This market was and continues to be nothing short of extremely challenging so having someone like Alicia to mentally keep you on the straight and narrow while also helping to guide you through the stressful offering process / pressure is paramount. Alicia always made the time to see a house quickly and also was super quick turn on putting together offers. In this environment you need someone that will shoot it straight and help you make the right decision on short notice while also feeling supported throughout a massive purchase - I have to say Alicia crushed it on all sides for me. She was also fantastic throughout close - ensuring I understood the steps, helping book inspections / appraisals and working closely with my mortgage broker to ensuring I was getting the correct financing / most bang for my buck. Overall, Alicia was not only knowledgeable and professional she was also very kind and considerate - throughout the pandemic, natural disasters and wild PDX purchasing environment Alicia came through on her promise of making sure I found the perfect place to call home!
