Alison Petersen

Alison J. Petersen grew up a “Navy brat” in the idyllic San Diego area of California, the daughter of an F-4 Pilot, Captain John S. Brickner, and a Realtor, Grace Brickner. Her parents still live in the home Alison grew up in. Though she didn’t know it then, it was in that childhood home the Real Estate seed was planted in Alison by her mother’s example. At a young age, Alison’s mom taught Alison the art of putting client’s needs first.

After graduating from Monte Vista High School, Alison achieved her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) and her Masters in Business Administration from University of Nevada Reno (UNR). She started her career in real estate sales in 1994 in San Diego California as a team with her mother, Grace Brickner. They worked at Century 21 in San Diego County. Grace and Alison worked with many relocation buyers and many military families using VA loans. Alison is still in contact with her original broker and Grace is still selling real estate at age 83!

In the years that followed, Alison worked for Intrawest, Inc in Squaw Valley USA working on the commercial side of that development. She decided to make the move back to residential sales with Coldwell Banker NRT, the leading residential company in Tahoe City. Alison was a top agent for many years. She worked diligently and successfully sold throughout the Lake Tahoe community, which earned her the prestigious Presidents Circle during her 7 years with Coldwell Banker.

Alison’s life changed when she fell in love with her husband, Jeffrey Petersen, and she moved to Danville just after their wedding in December 2005. While maintaining her busy real estate career in the Bay Area, Alison and Jeff grew their family with 4 kids over the years. Alison will tell you that Tyler, Tori, Trevor, and Trey are the best gifts that God has ever given her and her husband.

In her personal time, Alison devotes her energy to her husband and making sure her kids get to school and sports practices. Additionally, Alison and her family attend Community Presbyterian Church in Danville and Eastown Church in San Ramon. She also raised money for NF2 Children’s Tumor Foundation and Breast Cancer and has been a member of the Danville Children’s Guild for the past 9 years. Believe it or not, Alison still finds time to work out and run marathons and read for fun.
