Allen Minner

Allen Minner began his real estate career in 1991 and became a Managing Broker in 1993. Allen and his wife Kristin Minner work together in the John L. Scott Bellevue-Issaquah office as Team Minner. Kristin started her real estate career in 1994 and they have worked as a team since then, helping hundreds of people with suburban and rural real estate transactions.

Team Minner enjoys helping their clients with real estate not only during the transaction, but also during their ownership. They often help clients make decisions on improvements to make to increase their enjoyment and resale value, too. While most of the time Allen and Kristin work in King County they have helped clients from Blaine to Olympia, and Bainbridge Island to Ellensburg. They are also part of the relocation team at John L. Scott and can help clients find an agent anywhere in the world.

Allen and Kristin are relocation specialists and have experience with starter homes to luxury homes, homes on acreage, vacant land, and condominiums. They enjoy helping potential buyers learn about the home buying process and find the right property for them. It is also important for Allen and Kristin to educate their clients on the investment potential of the property of their choice. When working with sellers, they have a knack for helping the sellers appreciate the positive aspects of their property and showcase it in the best possible way to maximize their return on investment.

While real estate can have many unknowns or bumps along the way, Allen and Kristin aim to use their education and background to make the experience of buying or selling as predictable as possible. They both have a thorough understanding of the forms and processes in listing and selling real estate and bring a wealth of knowledge about the Pacific Northwest and a variety of properties to each transaction. With combined real estate experience spanning more than 50 years, Allen and Kristin are experts at anticipating potential problems and advising their clients on the best methods to maximize their position throughout the transaction.

Allen and Kristin met while in college at the University of Puget Sound, where they both graduated in 1983 with business degrees, with concentrations in management, marketing, and psychology between them. They live in the Snoqualmie Valley on acreage in a 1920s Craftsman Bungalow that they moved and then remodeled. Allen and Kristin have two children – one who recently graduated technical college and is now working as a Land Rover mechanic and one who is a high school student with special needs.

Outside of work, Kristin and Allen enjoy spending time outdoors on Gabriola Island in British Columbia with family several times a year, with boating, crabbing, and geocaching as integral activities. Allen also likes fishing, sailing and powerboating on local rivers, lakes, and the Puget Sound.

Allen is also an active member of his local Snoqualmie Valley community, participating in the restoration of the Fall City Hop Kiln and helping with planning, transportation, historic preservation, and environmental issues. He actively supports the Fall City Community Association, Pacific Coast Rover Club, Special Olympics, and the monthly Fall City Neighbors community nonprofit newsletter.

Allen likes restoring and showing classic Land Rovers. He helped his son, Dean, rehab a 1972 Series III Land Rover when he was 15 years old. The truck has been on six continents with the previous owner and had a lot of field repairs. They got the truck in great mechanical shape and left the hard-earned patina from years of exploration. Allen also enjoys his Range Rover Classic complete with Zebra stripes, reminiscent to the stripes used on Land Rovers in Africa.
