The path to homeownership can be long and filled with challenges, but Terry and Allie’s patience and unwavering support make all the difference. We recently sold our home in the Montclair District of Oakland and had the pleasure of working with Alexandria (Allie) Pembleton and her husband Terry. Our journey with Allie began when we first met her at an open house in 2023, just down the street from our own property. We were immediately impressed by the meticulous preparation and unique touches, like the tasteful wallpaper, that made that house stand out. It sold swiftly and at an impressive price, prompting us to think of Allie when the time came for us to sell.

In early 2024, we reached out to Allie to explore the possibility of working together, although we hadn't committed to selling just yet. Allie graciously invited us to view another property she was working on nearby, showcasing her expertise in interior design and renovation. We appreciated her patience and the absence of any pressure as we took our time to decide.

When we finally made the decision to sell, Allie sprang into action, laying out a comprehensive strategy to enhance our home's appeal and marketability. She facilitated meetings with stagers and contractors, presenting us with options aligned with our goals. Allie and Terry's close relationships with skilled contractors ensured swift decision-making and implementation of necessary upgrades.

One standout aspect of our experience was Allie and Terry's hands-on involvement in designing and overseeing the remodel of our bathroom. From selecting and purchasing fixtures to coordinating timelines, they handled every detail, allowing us to focus on preparing the house for sale.

Allie meticulously planned the open house, coordinating with photographers and ensuring every detail was in place. We were amazed by the final result—a seamless blend of unique touches that showcased our home's charm and character.

In terms of pricing strategy, Allie's approach, though initially seeming conservative, proved highly effective. It sparked a flurry of interest, resulting in multiple offers and a competitive bidding process. Throughout negotiations, Allie's confidence and skill shone, ultimately securing a record-breaking sale in less than five days. I am pretty sure that a less skilled agent would have recommended taking one of the initial offers, instead of leveraging the competitive bidding process and optimizing the price.

Allie and Terry are incredible agents to work with, and we recommend them to everyone wholeheartedly! My wife and I are truly convinced that we would not have been able to get our dream home without them. Not only did they help us put together our best possible offer on paper, they also talked and worked with the selling agent behind the scenes to convince them we were the right buyers. They were advocates in every sense of the word, and went above and beyond what would be merely sufficient for others. Even after our offer was accepted and the bank was being difficult, they made sure to exert the right balance of pressure and confidence to help ease the anxieties of all parties, as well as make sure the deal went through. They even generously helped cover a few costs during closing. There were so many uncertainties throughout the whole process, but Allie and Terry’s support and advocacy were the true constants never in doubt.
