Alma joined @properties in 2007, but has been working in the real estate industry for several years. Alma is a Chicago native and has lived and worked in the city almost her entire life. As such, she is uniquely familiar with several of the city’s neighborhoods having called many of them her home.
Prior to joining At Properties, Alma worked as a paralegal and lead office administrator for a Chicago law practice that focuses its practice on real estate transactions. In that capacity, Alma has an insight into real estate transactions that most real estate agents have not been exposed to. One such example of Alma’s insight is her understanding and thorough knowledge of the “short-sale” process. This process entails negotiating with the seller’s lender to accept a contract of an amount that is less than what the seller owes the lender.
Having a two-year old boy, Alma understands the importance of the delicate work-life balance, and strives to work with her clients on their schedule and at their pace. The client service skills Alma possesses are second to none and have been tested time and time again in every capacity in which she has worked.
In her free time, Alma enjoys playing tennis and is a member and student at the Midtown Tennis Club. Although she admits that she isn’t the best at the game, her passion for learning and her dedication to getting better is indicative of the type of commitment Alma puts forth in every aspect of her life.
Alma brings the combination of contractual insight, energy, family values, and enthusiasm from the first meeting to the closing and beyond. Alma believes that the relationship she forges with her clients is a lifelong friendship, and considers many of her former clients her friends.
