Alvaro Nevarez has been my realtor for the past 10 years. He is incredibly professional and trustworthy. He has helped me buy and sell my properties and has also given me great advice on times to buy and sell. Alvaro is not in this business for the money. Highly recommended! Alvaro assisted us with the sale and purchase of our house and made the process as smooth as possible, even in the current market. Sale: Alvaro sold our property in about a week and over asking price!!! We were out of town during the open house weekend, yet we felt as if we had been present at it thanks to Alvaro's timely and open communication. When it was time to review offers, he reviewed each one in detail and pointed out key terms to consider with each one. Alvaro listened to our needs and was able to negotiate favorable terms that allowed us to stay in the property until we found a new house. Purchase: My husband and I thought we knew what we wanted in our new house, but as we started looking at properties it became evident we didn't. We constantly changed our minds about everything from location to house size to budget. Through it all, Alvaro was there to listen and show us properties that met the revised wish list. I had the pleasure of working with Alvaro as the lender in a recent transaction for first-time homebuyers. The buyers were using an FHA loan, and unfortunately there are not an abundance of FHA-approved condo complexes in the San Jose area. We came across Alvaro and EQ1 Real Estate by sheer accident, having seen a flyer that was left by our door. That is the best accident one could wish for. The flyer didn't look like the cookie cutter type used by other realties; it was printed on expensive paper, properly designed and illustrated with professionally taken photos. By looking at the flyer and then going online to check out their website we quickly realized EQ1 takes a different approach towards marketing a home for sale. What attracted us to EQ1 is the modern approach they take, and the high tech delivery vehicles they employ to attract and captivate buyers. Unlike the experiences I've had in the past that seem archaic and that I was afraid to repeat once again, EQ1 understands behavioral marketing and how to leverage technology in innovative ways. In our specific case, we called Alvaro and in a short meeting he laid out the marketing plan for our townhome, including creating an online photo and video presence, reception for neighbors, followed by a two-day open house session. From the get-go we had a price in mind and Alvaro committed to doing his best to get the property to sell at that value. Within a week we had the winning offer and the closing price set a new record for our community, Modern Ice, much much higher than the asking price. I couldn't give Alvaro and the EQ1 a more glowing recommendation. These guys are veterans from other realties and they know what it takes to close a good sale.
