Amalia Daskalakis

Amalia Daskalakis came to real estate with a diverse background as both an accomplished world-class violist, and a seasoned sales and service aficionado in the world of private banking. Her business acumen, creative mind, and passion for working with people makes her especially effective in ensuring a successful and enjoyable real estate process for clients.

An East Village resident for over 15 years, Amalia enjoys helping people find the same contentment as she has in a home, no matter where that might be in this magical city. As a classically trained violist, she is traveled the world extensively; yet her love for Manhattan is undying.

Amalia is a graduate of the New England Conservatory Preparatory School, the University of Southern California (BS in Neurobiology, Magna Cum Laude with Honors), the Winsor School and Emerson College in Boston, where she also was a DJ at WERS 88.9FM.
At USC, she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Order of Omega, and Golden Key National Honor societies. She has showcased her musical talents at many prominent venues throughout the U.S. including Carnegie Hall, Irving Plaza, the Viper Room, and Kennedy Center, as well as in various countries, from Canada to Israel, South Korea, Taiwan, and throughout Europe. She even appeared as a viola player in the popular Guns N Roses November Rain video.

Complementing her creative side is Amalia’s flair for finance, contracts, and negotiations. Formerly in private banking at Brown Brothers Harriman, she holds her Series 7, 66, and health and life insurance licenses. Amalia understands not only the art of service, but the importance of respecting each client’s unique situation, and keeping their personal information confidential.

Conversant in Greek and French, Amalia helps sell her family’s extra virgin olive oil, ARIA, imported from Crete, Greece, in her spare time. She is also a key holding garden member with a plot at the 6B Community Garden in the East Village and practices yoga at Jivamukti Yoga School as often as possible. Amalia still performs music around the Village whenever she can.
