About Amy
Amy Michaels' has built her real estate business in much the same way a solid, timeless, "forever" home is built. All begins with a solid foundation, and Amy's is based on trust, integrity, knowledge, and commitment to her clients' success.
Since becoming a licensed Realtor in 2003, Amy's reputation for excellent communication, negotiation savvy, drive, problem-solving, creativity, genuine compassion for others and an uncompromising work ethic makes her an agent who buyers and sellers want in their corner. And because the contract-to-closing period is so critical to the outcome of a real estate transaction, other agents enjoy working with Amy because they know that her attention to every detail of the process will be managed expertly, which is so crucial to their clients as well.
Amy's commitment and tireless endeavors are further evidenced by her ever-growing list of industry awards, all based on volume of successful listings and sales. Most recently, she received the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors' 2021-22 Silver Recognition Award and has been named by Bethesda Magazine as a 2021-22 Top Producer. Additionally, she has earned membership on Long & Foster's coveted Gold Team.
"What makes my career especially interesting is its diversity of situations reflected in each transaction. First-time home buyers are stepping into the biggest investment they've ever made. Seasoned sellers listing their multi-million-dollar estates have particular challenges and needs. And every transaction in between is unique. Major life changes often play a role in residential real estate sales and emotions can run high. While my role as a real estate agent is to represent the property itself, I work with the highest degree of professionalism to ensure that the transition and transaction are stress-free for everyone involved".
A native Washingtonian who has lived in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, Amy is licensed in all three jurisdictions. She has a unique understanding of the dynamics and characteristics of our widespread metropolitan region.
When not marketing homes for sellers, touring properties for buyers, reaching out to her broad network of other Realtors to promote her listings and to find out about "off-market" homes for sale, and managing the details of every real estate transaction, Amy enjoys mentoring other agents. "I've learned so much from my mentors over the years and enjoy sharing my expertise to help my colleagues as well", she says.
Amy draws inspiration from her tightly knit family and friends. Her favorite activities include trips to less-traveled destinations, good theater and interesting books (usually listened to on CD with so little time to read)! She is involved throughout the community in charitable work service projects and is an advocate for supporting local businesses.
