Amy has experience on many sides of a real estate transaction. For over a decade, she has bought, renovated and sold co-ops, condos and mixed-use properties in Brooklyn and the East End of Long Island.
“My first home purchase was a fixer-upper in a co-op. It was a complete gut renovation, and from that project on, I have loved real estate. I’ve served on a co-op board and developed relationships with everyone from attorneys to lenders, architects, contractors, engineers, expediters and the DOB. After helping several friends buy homes, I turned my passion into a career.”
It is incredibly important to Amy that her clients see her as a value-add to their home sale or purchase. She works very hard and stays knowledgeable about what’s happening in the market, and changing in the industry. Amy strives to make the real estate process smooth and enjoyable, while also leaving clients confident that they are in highly competent, professional hands. She also adds value with her expert negotiation and problem-solving skills, which her clients appreciate. “The highest compliment is an incredibly satisfied client who feels that they have a real estate business partner for life in me, and who will think of me first and always when referring friends and family.”
Amy graduated from Fairfield University with a B.A. in International Relations and minors in Economics and French. She also received a Master’s in Human Resources Management from The New School, Milano Graduate Program.
Amy formerly served as HR Director for a software company for over 10 years. She particularly enjoyed interviewing candidates and matching them to the right roles. Strong listening skills and a focus on relationship building are truly her fortes.
Married with two school-aged children, Amy first lived in the West Village but has called Brooklyn home since 2004, mainly in Carroll Gardens and Fort Greene. She has a large network of friends and acquaintances from her time in the area, and through her involvement in the local school system. With real estate as her favorite pastime, Amy and her husband recently renovated a former ironworks shop to create a live/work space. They also own a rental property in Southampton and a mixed-use property in Hampton Bays.
If you cross paths with her in Brooklyn, don't hesitate to chat with her. She loves to connect with people who love NY as well. After living in Connecticut, California and Aix-en-Provence, Brooklyn is where she feels most at home.
