Amy Virago is Very easy to work with, knowledgeable and experienced. We appreciated her professionalism, honesty and attention to detail that made this process so much easier than it could've been otherwise. With the relative scarcity of suitable properties in our price range, our home hunt required time, patience and plenty of research. After 8 months of searching for and touring homes, we finally found the one for us. Some close bidding competition, a rent-back agreement and a few extra inspections and some repairs were no problem for her to handle and we now have a lovely home that will comfortably fit our family for some time to come.

10/10 Recommend Amy!! I first met her when I was considering selling my first home to just get through my divorce. She spent over an hour encouraging me to fight to keep it, knowing she wouldn’t earn a penny if I didn’t sell, but also knowing that keeping the house was what was best for me. Eventually I had to sell, and wasn’t able to use Amy, but she still supported ME. When it finally came time for me to buy my new home, she was the obvious choice and I couldn’t be more thankful for her knowledge, honesty, dedication and support. She is not only good at what she does, but you can tell she truly enjoy it. She didn’t hesitate to help in any way she could, or pause her own life when I needed her. Endless questions and doubt, she always made herself available and pushed me through the hard parts. I felt like every possible hurdle was thrown in my way during the purchase process but Amy just leaped right over them and help me over them as well. She literally went door to door in my neighborhood to help with an HOA dilemma that could have prevented my purchase from going through.
She’s the BEST kind of human and I can’t recommend her enough!!

This review is coming a bit late (as I sold my townhome in September) - but I wanted to make sure I gave Amy the credit she was due!! She was fantastic at helping me get my townhome sold . She was quick, efficient and even brought things to help me stage it and make things look perfect for the showings!
What I appreciated most was that Amy looked ahead and even identified some things that could be a headache paperwork wise with my sale - and let me know about it in advance, so I could have everything worked out BEFORE an offer came in!! This made things stress free and effortless. She even was available to answer questions at almost any time. Getting back to me very quickly if she wasn’t already available when I called. I can’t say enough amazing things about Amy. We were referred to her in the beginning stages of thinking about moving, and only an idea of what we were looking for, and fell in love with the second property she showed us. The purchasing process involved a contingency sale of our current home which wasn’t even on the market yet, and a new home which had tenants. She helped us get our offer approved in a very competitive market, and get our house ready to list within days, then got us the price we needed in order to close on our dream home. If you find yourself in search of a new home I would highly recommend Amy Virago.

My husband received a Job promotion which required us to move from Alaska to Washington in under two months so it would have been almost impossible without Amy and all the work she put into not only finding the right house but negotiating with the sellers and helping us close as quickly as possible. Due to the issue of the distance, we were unable to go see the houses in person so Amy went out of her way to video her walk through pointing out even the smallest details such as possible damages or upgrades that might have been done. When we finally found the house we wanted Amy was able to work with the seller's agent and articulate exactly what we needed making the whole process happen as smooth and flawless as possible. Ms. Amy Verago was my agent for the sale of my Puyallup home. She was always professional and up front which I appreciated. Her strategies for selling my home were a huge success. I have never sold a home before and this home meant a lot to me. She was understanding of my inexperience, helped guide me through the process and throughout all the questions (there were a lot of late night texts full of angst) she responded and put my mind at ease.

Being new to selling a home meant I didn’t even know where to begin. She met with me in person, at my home and went over the realistic price point of sale and why. She was always up front about my listing and how to list it. Amy was very quick to get my home on the market knowing it was the right time. She had a photographer in my home within days. The photographs were amazing. She staged my home with ease, ensured the photographs did the property justice and that potential buyers would get exactly the same home they saw online as they would during a walk through. I was very happy with not only her strategy for listing price but the entire process.

Amy was great about negotiating the sale of my home once we had a potential buyer. Without her knowledge, experience and positive working relationships with the title company, this sale would not have gone as smooth. Amy negotiated hard with the buyers agent, fought for the loan to be completed on time and any hiccups along the way were quickly handled in a professional and efficient manner. It was easy to put my trust in Amy’s ability to close the sale because she was always communicating with me about my needs and how to proceed based on those needs.

My home listed September 30 and was closed by November 6th. The process could not have been better for myself or the buyer. I could not be happier.

Looking for an agent to help buy or sell your home? Someone who will go to bat for you? Someone who you can trust to get you the best bang for your buck?

If so, Amy Baalaer is the person you want on your home-buying team. I did not know Amy before we began our homebuying process less than 3 months ago. My husband and I are both 25-year-old first time homebuyers. We didn’t know what we were looking for, or how to get to the home we wanted so desperately. I had no idea how easy she was going to make this process for us.  We had absolutely no idea what we needed to do throughout this process, other than we wanted to own our first home.
Our initial stop was to another amazing human, Becky Thompson, with New American Funding in Tacoma. She was our lender, and she helped us throughout the home buying process. She gave us our preapproval, and then we went on our way to begin home searching with the initial agent we chose.
Our agent that we had originally chosen went out of town the first weekend we needed to begin home searching, and we were concerned, as we had a home we needed to see that weekend as they were accepting offers the upcoming Monday.
We called our lender, Becky, and explained how urgent this was. She recommended us to Amy at 9:30pm on a Friday night. We were meeting up with Amy by 10 AM the next morning. Not only this, but that same night she was sharing a ton of other houses with us for us to view as well.  We stuck with her after this choosing her over our initial agent, as we were so happy with how dedicated she was.

She was thorough, she was quick, she was extremely responsive. She made us feel very comfortable expressing our desires for a home, while keeping us leveled and realistic for what we would be able to accomplish with our financial limitations. Amy has sat on the floor with me for 4 hours while our home inspection was being done with no furniture in the house, helped us get repairs on a leaky water pipe, helped us when I couldn’t make it down to a home by even picking me up to drive me there. She is the most dedicated real estate professional you could ever hope for, and I couldn’t recommend her enough.

The transition in this process has led us from being another customer/agent relationship, to becoming friends. I can only hope you take this information and decide to allow Amy your business, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Amy Baalaer was the seller’s agent at an open house that I visited while house hunting. During that visit, I was impressed by her knowledge of the local market area where I was looking to buy. She was also very friendly, down to earth and easy to talk to. When I got serious about buying a home, I remembered and hired Amy as my buyer’s agent. She was very proactive without being pushy or irritable through the entire house-hunting process and she helped me find several home options that matched my needs. Her responsiveness to my calls and e-mails were immediate and I appreciated that she was available to accommodate my work schedule. What I liked most about Amy was that when it came time to negotiate, she was assertive with her representation of my priorities as a buyer, but without being overly aggressive or rude.
