Angela Sexton

There are two things Angie does a lot of: Real Estate and Cycling. She works hard and always has. It's a family thing. Her dad is a custom home builder in another state and helping him build houses during her summer and holiday breaks was not an invitation. Angie started her first business in 1995. In her free time, Angie was a runner, she ran a handful of marathons before a torn muscle sidelined her, and not being able to sit still, she borrowed a bike and discovered it was much more fun than running and a lot less painful. A friend challenged her to join him in riding the MS150 charity ride and 2 days and 150 miles later, she was hooked! She continued running and biking for the next several years. In 2003, she realized she was feeling limited with her original business and made a career change. Her business was beginning to grow in real estate as she phased out the first but in 2007, she received a major life changer. She was diagnosed with Stage III aggressive breast cancer. Chemo and running didn’t get along nor did the surgeries and extensive radiation but she found that she could continue to ride her bike and enjoy it. The Cincinnati Cycling community embraced Angie held her up and pulled her through. A year after diagnosis, Angie found herself divorced and financially bottomed out. She knew then she had to get “REAL” about Real Estate. As a personal aside, buying a home as a single female is intimidating, and terrifying even. Even as Angie was set to close on her first house after her divorce, she doubted herself and nearly talked herself out of it. But she was making the right decision, in fact, Angie was making a phenomenal decision. If you are a single female intimidated at the thought of being a homeowner, do not be. Let Angie be your guide.
