About Ann
Ann Carter, an experienced professional with 38 years in healthcare, has seamlessly transitioned into a new career in real estate, leveraging her extensive background in guiding families through various life transitions.
Reflecting on her healthcare career, Ann remarked, "Working in healthcare, everyone is transitioning. Some are going from the hospital to home, from home to a nursing care facility, and even some from jail or prison to home. My job was to help families through those transitions, so real estate truly just made sense. Whether they're selling mom or dad's home, maybe you're upsizing or downsizing, or just looking for a change, I want to be there to help people make the best decisions possible for their families. I want to support people through this."
While currently residing in Lexington, Ann's life journey has involved moving 23 times, experiencing the challenges and joys associated with numerous relocations. Having been an empty nester herself, Ann is intimately familiar with the complexities of moving and understands the importance of making informed decisions during such transitions.
Ann's love for the Mansfield area is evident, stemming from her deep roots in the community. She appreciates the symphony, the bike trail, Kingwood, and actively participates in a garden club. Describing Richland County as the most beautiful in Ohio, Ann's passion for her surroundings is palpable.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ann has diverse interests, including skiing, participating in a handbell choir at church, and being an avid decorator. Her love for decorating dates back to age 16 when her parents renovated a 100+ year-old farmhouse.
With family ties to local history, Ann's father, Bob Carter, is a local historian who writes for the Tribune Courier, and Ann occasionally contributes to the local paper as well.
Choosing Sluss Realty was a natural decision for Ann, as she has known the family for years. Expressing her long-standing desire to sell real estate, Ann cited timing with her children as a determining factor. Now, as an empty nester, she looks forward to being more available for showings during nights and weekends.
Eager to meet her colleagues at Sluss Realty and actively engage with the community, Ann is excited to embark on this new chapter in her real estate career.
