Ann was born and raised in Thomaston, Maine. She is a graduate of Georges Valley High School, the University of Maine at Farmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and the Sunstate Academy of Hair Design/Cosmetology in Sarasota Florida. She worked for Bank of America and TD Banknorth for a few years serving the local community in banking/customer service. After graduating from cosmetology school in 2001, she worked as a hairstylist and eventually opened her own hair salon and worked in the industry for 20+ years focusing on the needs of clients.
