It is our extreme pleasure to share our experience with Anne Edwards Johnson REALTOR @Hookemhomes. We had been through the mud and back while selling our home. The sale of our home happened during a transitional market time. All our initial research basically had to be thrown out, whilst turning on a dime, strategizing a marketing plan, nearly on a weekly basis, with the onslaught of changes. This was the time where Anne's vast experience and access to multiple resources really put our home in a beautiful light which ultimately led to its sale. The sale, however, wasn't smooth. The buyer's end of the table, we discovered, did not possess a level of integrity. We quickly discovered the high level of integrity Anne possesses. The whole thing easily could have closed with us losing a lot of money or never even close in the first place. My husband and I were within a couple of days of completely taking our home off the market. Anne's careful execution to bring the buyers and buyer's agent into a space of fair and equitable results was simply masterful. Once we were under a binding contract for our home, the daunting task of purchasing the new home began in earnest. We moved out of the area. Although the changing market hit the new area as well, it didn't do so as fast. We had definite financial goals and requirements in a new home, and both had to come together in less than a week's time. The peril of finding such a home was magnified in light that multiple offers were still occurring in this area. Once again Anne's effective counsel allowed us to make an offer on the home that met both our financial and desired requirements and ultimately be accepted! Thank you, Anne, for working so very diligently on our behalf. For all the late-night phone calls that calmed our anxieties. For all the wise words that guided our actions so that we too could execute with a high level of integrity. And thank you for both crying and celebrating with us. Honestly, if Anne isn't on your team to sell and/or buy your home... why are you even trying?

Anne Johnson is the best real estate agent in Austin. She is extremely experienced, responsive, an excellent negotiator and honest (which is invaluable and rare in this market). We went through several real estate agents before we worked with Anne. We had previous real estate agents recommend the following to us to attempt to close a sale quickly (none of which were in our best interest): to buy a home that had pages of repairs including foundation issues, move an hour away from where we work, downgrade the quality of the schools for our children, to buy next to a drainage ditch, etc. You get the idea. We were also told, not to worry when we bid way over asking, everything was appraising ... which was clearly not true and put many buyers in a horrible financial position. Anne on the other hand, did have our best interest in mind. She was honest when homes had expensive issues, were not built well or were placed in a location which would affect its property value in the future, and recommended we pass on those homes. She did not ask us to compromise on what we valued the most, and was willing to work with us until we found the right home for us that would also be a solid investment. She also didn't make us feel like money had no value and we should be willing to throw any amount at a home just to "have the privilege" of buying one. In the end, Anne helped us buy a beautiful home that checked off most of our boxes, was built well, 20 minutes from work, and in a great school district. She negotiated expertly and was very aware of the market, while balancing that real challenge with our needs and protecting us and our investment. Anne Johnson sincerely had my family's best interest at heart when she helped us find a home. She steered us into a home that is perfect for our family, and within our budget, exerting no pressure to get us into a home that wasn't right for us - she even advised against putting offers down on several homes which had some red flags my wife and I had failed to notice, even though the homes looked good superficially. Her advise, persistence (I'm sure she visited at least 40 homes, and put countless miles on her car), and experience really paid dividends, and we are blessed to have had her as our agent.
