Anne van Wylick

Anne van Wylick joined The Burr Group at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty after a successful international career. Born and raised in Europe, she has always considered herself a citizen of the world. An avid globe-trotter since her youth, her personal and professional life has been marked by a strong drive to interact and build bridges with other cultures. She studied economics and languages at the Brussels University first, then at GWU, and is fluent in French, Spanish and Italian. Shortly after graduating as a Conference Interpreter in the 80s, she moved to Washington to join the staff of the International Monetary Fund, where she worked in Language Services and in Communication, growing through the ranks to become a senior departmental manager. In 2018, she decided to launch into private consulting and freelance conference interpretation activities, before transitioning to real estate, a long-standing field of interest. More than anything, Anne enjoys working with others and helping them reach their goals. From her years of leadership in a large organization at the service of others, she has learned that building genuine partnerships with clients, putting them first, understanding their needs and motivations and creating trust through effective communication are keys to exceptional performance and results. She firmly believes that they are also at the heart of outstanding real estate representation. Anne is an opera enthusiast. She is also a hockey fan and has served on the Board of a local youth hockey organization. Besides travelling the world and visiting family and friends in Europe, Asia or Australia, she enjoys spending time outdoors—particularly going on long walks, golfing and skiing.
