Ash earned a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Berkeley with a major in Urban Economics and a minor in City and Regional Planning. He has been a business leader for over 25 years in the real estate and lending sector. He has created businesses and product lines within Fortune 100 companies. He also received San Diego's Metropolitan Magazine's top 40 under 40 award in 2007.
Business acumen is not his only gift. Ash is a true philanthropist giving time, talent, and treasure for over 25 years to important causes in the community. Ash was a founder of the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, a Founding Family at Pacific Ridge School where both his son and 2 daughters have attended since inception in 2007. Ash was recruited to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad Board of Directors in May 2006 where he served for several years. During that time he served on the Strategic Planning Committee and was named Board Member of the Year. His generous contributions were recognized as a Corporate Partner, he is dedicated to make a difference in the lives of children in our community.
He serves in his church as board member of the parish council, has served as youth leader and mentor and enjoyed teaching Sunday school.
Ash has a passion for the ocean, he enjoys traveling to remote destinations to explore and fish , he enjoys cooking, and most importantly spending time with his wife and children.
