Originally from Orange County, Austin has lived and worked in the Bay Area since 2012. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Austin graduated from Columbia Law School and was a partner at one of the biggest law firms in the world, where he practiced as a trial attorney in the firm’s commercial litigation group. While a practicing attorney, Austin represented numerous Fortune 500 companies and their executives and board members in multi-billion-dollar restructurings and mass tort and class-action cases in state and federal courts across the country.
Austin also dedicated significant time fighting for members of his community. The most personally fulfilling cases he worked on were pro bono cases, representing vulnerable or under-privileged clients in important legal matters. For example, he represented a mother and son escaping persecution in their home country in obtaining lawful residence status in the United States, victims of domestic abuse, and a death-row inmate wrongfully convicted and imprisoned in violation of his constitutional rights.
Seeking new and innovative ways to improve people’s lives and help them fulfill their dreams, Austin left his law firm and pursued a career in real estate. With his extensive litigation and management background, his obsession with residential architecture, and keen sense for creative, persuasive representation, Austin knew a career in real estate would be a perfect blend of his passions and unique skill sets.
Austin has become a master of marketing, and, in particular, understands how to utilize social media to educate and inform prospective market participants about the challenging Bay Area housing market, and to market properties at scale. Austin routinely reaches hundreds of thousands of people every month across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. And has been engaged by several brokerages, developers and top agents to market properties in ways they can’t. Austin continues to learn and evolve every day, and brings the best, cutting edge representation to his clients.
