Her husband Jesse (Asheville Middle School Counselor) and children (Annalise 13, Micah 11) have made Asheville their home for the past 21 years. They renovated their Historic Montford house and may never leave. Her love for this community continues to grow. Aviva and her family spend time hiking, cooking, traveling (recently to Amsterdam, Ireland, Switzerland, and Italy), and enjoying local events.
