About Barb
Barb’s Competitive nature and fervent desire to collaborate with people has earned her much success. She strives to make her clients happy and goes beyond what a “REALTOR® ’s” job description really is. When it comes to her career, she takes it VERY seriously, and loves it when she gets a referral from a previous client, knowing how happy they were with her service, whether it was selling THEIR home, or finding them the right home! Their happiness means more to her than her individual success!
Experience/Background:
Barb has been a Licensed REALTOR® since 1997. Upon graduating from Philadelphia University in 1989, she gained employment with Shaw Industries as a Commercial Sales Representative in the Carpet Industry, covering Philadelphia, Delaware, and Southern New Jersey. Her husband’s job took them to Tennessee in 1993, and from 1993-1997 Barb continued her career in Commercial Carpet Sales with Beaulieu Carpet Company. In 1997 her husband’s job brought them here to Greenville, SC. This was the perfect opportunity for Barb to pursue her dream! She had always been interested in Real Estate, so within months of moving to Greenville, she went to The Wyatt Institute of Real Estate. She has grown her business over the years to where referrals from previous clients continue to be the bulk of her business.
Strategy/Motivation:
Barb’s experience in competing in athletics has made her competitive in the Business world. She strives for nothing but the best for her clients throughout the entire process in collaborating with them!
Personal/Community Interests:
A Native of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, Barb is happily married with two sons, and a daughter-in-law, Carley, who works on a team with Barb at Marchant Real Estate. She also has two beautiful granddaughters. Her oldest son and daughter in law both graduated from Clemson in 2016, and her younger son is now a senior at Clemson. Barb coached both boys in their early years of playing t-ball and basketball, and even coached high school Church Basketball teams a few years. She was consistently a PTA Volunteer throughout their elementary, middle and HS years. She and her family are members of First Baptist Simpsonville Church. Barb has been a Volunteer and Team Leader for The Race for the Cure 8 Consecutive years and continues to support the fight for the Cure. Barb loves sports and “talking sports.” She played College Basketball and Lacrosse at Philadelphia University. She continues to play church basketball here in Greenville, loves to play Golf (when she can find the time!), and works out regularly. A unique and little-known fact about Barb is, she participated in the NCAA Division II Final Four Basketball Championship in 1986. That Team was inducted into Philadelphia University’s Hall of Fame on May 9th, 2014!
