About Barbara
Barbara obtained her Real Estate license in 1997, a wise decision that has positively altered her trajectory. Currently, Barbara is a licensed and active member in good standing with the Metro South Board of REALTORS®, Georgia Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®.
Barbara Dyer is currently an Associate Broker with Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Classic, a Real Estate Instructor, a Member of the Conventional Financing and Policy Committee with the National Association of REALTORS®, a Committee Member with the Forms Committee, Chairperson for The Statewide Grievance Committee, and a State Director with the Georgia Association of REALTORS®.
Barbara is The Metro South Association of REALTORS®, 2021 REALTOR® of the Year, and 2021 REALTOR® of the Year Nominee for Georgia Association of REALTORS®.
Going into 2013 Barbara had many accolades but was inducted as President of the Metro South Association of REALTORS® Education Foundation.
In 2011, Barbara received a sweeping nomination for and graciously accepted, the position of President for The Metro South Association of REALTORS® for the 2012 term. Notably, Barbara was the first African American woman to hold the position of President of The Metro South Association of REALTORS®.
From the years of 2005 – 2009, Barbara was nominated and appointed to Vice Chair of Professional Development, Committee Chairperson of the Grievance Committee, and Vice Chair of Administration to the Board of Directors with the Metro South Board of REALTORS®.
In September 2004, Barbara was nominated as one of Atlanta’s Top REALTORS® featured in the Atlanta’s Home magazine issue.
Barbara previously worked with American Telephone & Telegraph (A.T. & T.) for over 21 years. While employed with the company, Barbara began a career as an independent paralegal in 1995; working with Family Law Attorney Kathy Hedden (now retired) specializing in family law, torts, and landlord/tenant disputes. Mrs. Hedden strongly urged Barbara to pursue a Mediation Certification, which she did in 1996.
Barbara has been a Million Dollar Club Producer since 2000 and retains several real estate designations, such as the Georgia REALTORS® Institute (GRI), At Home With Diversity (AHWD), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), and graduate of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academy in 2015.
Communication is a priority between Barbara and all the parties she collaborates with, therefore, she utilizes her acquired skills to reduce conflict, establish resolutions, and facilitate a meeting of the minds.
