Barbie married a native of Lookout Mountain, TN. After brief stays in Ft. Benning, GA and Ft. Jackson, SC, Barbie and her son, Ward, moved back to Rye, when her husband was deployed to Vietnam. Three children and a lot of years fulfilling community commitments, Barbie decided to retire from being a "professional" volunteer and pursue a career in real estate, an industry which has rewarded her with great success. "When time permits, my past times are always exercise orientated from swimming to paddle tennis....and I am always in the crowd cheering on family participants at sporting events. One could never survive in our family if you are not a sports' enthusiast!"
