She is licensed as a Broker Associate, achieving the highest professional designation in the real estate industry. In addition, Barb has been awarded the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI), the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designations from the National Association of Realtors.

Barb grew up in the business as the daughter of a successful real estate broker in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a town very similar to Ridgewood. She moved to Ridgewood after starting her business career at Celanese Fibers Marketing Company in New York City where she was a sales rep. She and her husband Art, both graduates of Ohio Wesleyan University as were her parents, have lived in Ridgewood for 40 years. They raised two sons here and both went thru the Ridgewood school system.

Barb has served in various board positions of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary, is currently Vice President of the local Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association and is a past president of the Women Gardeners of Ridgewood.
