Barbara Merrill has been a regular visitor to the desert since the early eighties, enjoying vacations and immersing herself in the desert lifestyle, climate, and the warmth of the people. In 2000, Barbara acquired a home in Indian Ridge Country Club as a weekend getaway. However, her fondness for the desert led her to make it her permanent residence. She wholeheartedly embraced the desert community, actively participating in various charity organizations such as Gilda's Club and the Desert Cancer Foundation.
Barbara has demonstrated her commitment by serving on several Indian Ridge committees and boards, including the architectural, landscape, and communication committees. She also took on roles such as an HOA Board Director and founded and edited "Ridge News," an electronic newsletter for all 1068 Indian Ridge residents. Barbara holds a master’s degree from Cal Poly with credentials in both mathematics and administration. While she began her career as an algebra teacher, her enduring passion for real estate has driven her to buy, sell, remodel, rent, and manage properties for investment purposes over the years.
