Barbie is truly an amazing agent! After my mother passed away, I had to sell her house and had no idea where to start. I had never sold a house before, and the house needed lots of repairs. Barbie understood that I was grieving and overwhelmed by all of the work that needed to be done. She went above and beyond, finding and scheduling contractors to handle the project for me. Everyone she recommended did excellent work, and the house was beautiful and ready for sale much sooner than I expected. She also did a fantastic job advertising the property, using many different types of marketing to reach the widest possible audience. As a result, the house sold very quickly at a much higher price than I ever expected! She exceeded my expectations at every stage, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the end result.
Barbie was also very caring and understanding about my emotions during such a difficult time, and took the time to check on me periodically throughout the process. If you were looking to buy or sell a house, I would highly recommend Barbara Summers (Barbie.) After making the emotional decision to sell our family home, we enlisted Barbie’s help to sell our house and to help find us a forever home. We have a child with autism, so we were looking for a house in my parents neighborhood. We decided that we needed to be closer to our family and we only wanted to live within walking distance to my parents house. A huge ask but during a housing market boom, I thought it would be impossible. Barbie doesn’t shrink away from hard asks, she only becomes more determined to meet your needs. On day one, she sent me all of the listings within a couple mile distance of my parents house. She explained to me that due to the fast paced market, those houses would probably be already sold, but she wanted me to see what to expect within our price range. She explain to me that we would be looking at houses the moment they went onto the market, and that’s exactly what we did. She would text me in the morning and let me know if anything came on the market and send me the listings in case I wanted to walk through one. About four days into looking for a home, she sent me a listing that was only blocks away from my parents house! We immediately went and viewed the house and put in an offer. During the whole process, she had our backs. The house had multiple offers and we were worried about losing the listing, but she helped us navigate the entire buying process. In the end, she helped us make an incredible deal ( the house next to ours sold for 35,000 more and we feel like our house is more beautiful!) We literally live in a cul-de-sac on a dead-end road, we feel so lucky to have found this house. Our home is perfect for raising a child that needs a little extra supervision. If it hadn’t been for Barbie and the way that she stayed on top of the houses hitting the market, we would have it forever home! Thank you Barbie.
That’s only my buying experience! The selling was just as painless. When we decided to put our house on the market, Barbie hired a professional photographer and took breathtaking pictures of our home. Within a week all of the professional photos were listed on Zillow and all of the other realtor sites. She works fast. We came to an agreement on what we wanted for the house, (another impossible) and we began showing it on Thursday. When Sunday rolled around, we had multiple offers. She explained all of the ends and outs of the offers and let us make the decision that most benefited us. She is definitely all her client’s experience. Once we accepted an offer, she gave the other people a short window of time to have the home inspected and ratify the contract. We had already purchased another house and time was a huge factor in selling our old home. Just because time was a factor, it didn’t mean that she would cut any corners, as matter fact she got us more money then any of the other comps in our area! Barbie is a hard worker, she’s available to you during the whole process, and she was just as invested in the selling and purchasing of our new home. If anybody were ever to ask if I knew a real estate agent, I would happily refer them to her and I’m not the type to make recommendations.

Barbara was very sensitive to their needs along with their desires of their location. Barbie also knew how important it was that they were close to me. She helped them by locating something that was in very close proximity to my home so that I could get to them in a timely fashion should anything ever happen.
Barbara is very sweet, honest, caring & knows her job well. She does not sell homes just because it is her job, but she assists you in helping you find your dream. I highly recommend her and will definitely call her when my husband and I are ready to downsize and sell our home.

Chose Barbie! She is a delightful person and genuinely cares about her clients. She helped my husband and I close on our very first home during one of the most stressful times of the year, the holidays! We had our inspection the day after Thanksgiving, our final walk through the day after Christmas, our osing date changes multiple times, and she was there for all of it. She kept me calm and my eye on the prize. Even when it seemed like it would never happen. She was available all times of the day including weekend and nights. She answered all of my questions and was able to make other reccomendations for fabulous people to work with to get to closing. Overall she gets a 10/10 in my book. My husband and I will be eternally grateful to Barbie for the sale of our home. When we listed with Barbie, she asked “why has this house not sold” (we had it listed 3 other times over the past 10 years). She looked around our house and found a couple of minor problems which she fixed and a major problem (our neighbor’s backyard). This was a win-win situation, he could no longer do it himself, and she sold our home. We had already sold our house and were paying bills on two homes, so we needed to sell it quick. She brought us multiple offers in less than six weeks! From the beginning she took all the stress off of us. Our entire home buy experience was perfect! After providing Barbara with our purchase criteria she found the best houses to suit our needs and she stayed within our budget. Once we found a home that we were interested in she helped us every step of the way and made sure everything was completed on the sellers end. And not only did she make sure all things were taken care of, she made sure they were done correctly. Even after closing she is still working with us making sure that all outliers are being addressed and taken care of promptly. We were immediately impressed by her because she was interested in what we wanted and stuck to it. Barbie recently helped me and my wife buy a home in Norfolk, VA. This was my first time buying a home, and Barbie’s expertise and advice was invaluable. We came to her because we went to see a home in the neighborhood we were renting in and we absolutely fell in love with it.
