Barry was born and raised in Las Vegas, and he began his real estate journey there in the early 1990s when it was the fastest-growing city in the United States. He helped manage the largest real estate company in Nevada, the fourth-busiest office in the nation for Better Homes and Gardens. During that time, he received numerous awards and trained hundreds of agents.
Having raised their kids and loving the ocean and forest more than desert and heat, he and his wife, Denise, relocated back to her original home in North Monterey County. Buying a home motivated him to re-enter real estate so he could give people in the area a higher standard and professional experience guided by his values of integrity, kindness, and generosity. He learned the local market and quickly began to impress clients in California, too. Barry completed $50 million in transactions during his first four years in Monterey County, including $17 million in transactions in 2020. Named the top listing agent in North Monterey in 2021, he also has the most-watched real estate YouTube channel in Monterey County. Barry’s specialty is helping buyers, investors, and sellers, especially those ready to downsize or move to a different area. In order to fully support and guide his clients from pre-listing to post-closing, he also provides project management, using his California contractor license for all his clients’ housing needs.
The longevity of Barry’s career comes from his dedication to putting client interests before his own. His extensive experience has given him a seasoned approach to buying and selling homes, and he prides himself on helping people navigate the sometimes complex world of real estate. Clients know that with Barry as their trusted advisor, their real estate goals will soon be achieved. With a doctorate in intercultural studies and a master’s in global leadership, Barry has spent his entire career helping people. He’s worked with nonprofits in crisis management, counseling, and life coaching, where he learned to listen to people’s needs and help them solve problems. That’s why he focuses on the well-being of each of his clients. When people come to him for real estate help, they can be confident that their real estate transactions will be handled with care and attention. As people transition to a new chapter in their lives, their property journeys will be as stress-free as possible.
When he has free time, Barry volunteers with Nancy’s Project, which distributes food and clothing to field workers in the area, and he supports microfinance loans with Kiva, clean water wells with Living Water International, and Healing Grove Free Health Clinic in San Jose.
