Barry Dunn

Barry Dunn specializes in residential real estate in Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Pompano Beach, and the surrounding areas of eastern Broward County. He was born in Durham, NC, where his parents owned a small real estate company. As soon as he was old enough to answer the phone and write down a phone number (literally) Barry's parents put him to work in the real estate office. He somehow managed to spend all the money a five-year-old could earn on comic books and candy, but he also learned about real estate!

He worked at the US Postal Service during the 1980's and early 90's. Eager to control his own schedule, he resigned from the post office and began selling real estate in Raleigh, NC.

In December 2003, Barry relocated to Fort Lauderdale, which by then had already become a second home. It was a challenge to start over in an area where he knew so few people, and an even bigger challenge to stay in business during the market correction, but Barry made it through.

He has a passion for training and helping agents improve their skills. He regularly hosts classes like Brian Buffini's "Peak Producers" and Tom Ferry's "Breakthrough". Barry is a certified mentor for Buffini and Company, America's largest real estate training and coaching company and acts as the Buffini small group leader for eastern Broward County.

In September of 2016, Barry opened the first NextHome franchise in the Fort Lauderdale area. NextHome Realty Professionals (NHRP) is located in the heart of the Wilton Manors arts & entertainment district. NHRP operates with a select roster of agents who are held to a much higher standard than industry norms.
