After graduating from USL in 1990, Bart moved to Orlando, FL to experience a dynamic, growing real estate market. He brought these experiences home and, after becoming a licensed broker, he opened his own brokerage, Absolute Realty in 1994. Nine years later he sold to Coldwell Banker, wanting to focus on the face-to-face relationships with his clients. His work is concentrated on commercial sales, leasing, and development in the Lafayette, Iberia, and St. Martin Parish markets.
Bart specializes in industrial property, professional office space, and land. His passion, tenacity, and philosophy of “enjoy what you do” have taken him far. He was named a Silver Circle of Distinction winner four years in a row, a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Elite Group, and Top Producer in Commercial Sales and Leasing for several years - a testimony to his success.
Bart currently serves on the Board of Directors for the local Realtor Commercial Alliance, and has previously served on other boards for the Realtor Association of Acadiana, including the Grievance Committee. He is also currently serving as Acadiana Regional Airport Commissioner.
Outside of the office, Bart has maintained an active role in the Iberia Parish community, fulfilling roles such as Vice-Chairman of the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, appointee on the City of New Iberia Planning and Zoning Commission, and is also a graduate of Leadership Iberia. In addition, he has served as Board Secretary for the Optimist Club of New Iberia as well as president for the first MLS of New Iberia.
Bart and his wife, Tracy, have three sons; Carter, Webb, and Cole. He spends any free time traveling with his family, supporting his youngest son on the baseball field, or enjoying himself on the water with family and friends.
