Beth’s introduction to the wonderful world of Mid-Century architecture was born the summer of 1982 when she lived with her aunt and uncle in their Palo Alto Eichler home. Although it was very out of style in the 80’s, her fascination of an atrium in one’s home and her love for the vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows bringing the outside in has remained with her.
When Beth moved back to Portland from San Francisco and became a realtor in 2001 she discovered the Rummer! She was thrilled to find that Portland could have a taste of that wonderful Post and Beam architecture. She built a search for Rummer homes and similar Mid-Century modern homes that she kept to herself for a couple years. But soon she realized there was a whole world of similarly minded home buyers who would benefit from a website that posted only Mid-Century homes For Sale, and so was born PortlandMidCentury.com.
Beth’s love of interesting architecture does not stop with Mid-Century Modern homes, however. Her appreciation runs deep for homes built with style, a sense of good design and beautiful materials. As your realtor she comes with a degree from the University of Oregon and has 15 years of business background. Her love and appreciation for a beautiful home stops when the house is found, her business background kicks into high gear when it is time to put the deal together. She knows how to sell a home quickly and for the highest price and on the flip side, she is skilled at winning the bidding war for these highly sought-after homes.
