Betsy attended the University of Dayton, majoring in communications. She started out in fine jewelry buying, then spent 13 years as a wine consultant for the largest distributor in VA selling to restaurants and wine shops. Most recently, Betsy was in Executive Recruiting for creative, legal and consulting professional Services. She has lived in the Alexandria community for 30 years and is involved with numerous local volunteer organizations and charities. Her other favorite pastime is her painting and artistic pursuits.

Betsy Grady-Carey was amazing as our buyer's agent. We know that it is entirely due to her efforts that we ended up with the home of our dreams. Due to circumstances beyond our control, our home-buying process lasted over a year to complete. Early on we locked in on this house as the one we wanted. There was a series of twists and turns and several times it looked as if we would not get the house, but Betsy stayed at it until she got us the contract that landed the house. She was fantastic! We cannot recommend her highly enough because words fail. She was that good. Buyers or sellers would be lucky to get her to represent them.

Betsy is simply a treasure! An incredibly knowledgeable, competent and skilled professional, an exceptional listener who really cares about--and understands--her clients' needs and desires, she's a total joy to work with. I recently moved from Vermont to Alexandria, and from the moment I first called her, she was there with me every step of the way, from finding the apartment I rented to settling in. She was always available when I needed her, calming and practical. Five stars just don't do it--I wish I could give her many more!

Betsy is fantastic. My wife and I were moving from out of state and looking for a place to rent. She helped coordinate walk throughs within limited timeframes when we were in the area, gave us an expert tour of all the neighborhoods in Alexandria and was always available to answer questions and give us thoughtful advice as we went through the process. We look forward to buying our house with Betsy in the future, she's great.
